In your estimation, is the "V" Edge be a big help in maintaining the integrity and preventing bending of the stock cutting edge, where as the Markham does not protect it? The $140 extra is what it could cost to replace the cutting edge later, time included, of course. Then again, I'm working soil, clay, and roots, not rock. What's your opinion? Anybody else?

... and ordered me one. I justhope it's here by Friday so I can use it. I'm not sure about the crimp-on teeth, but H&H says they've been selling them since 1988 without any problem, so I doubt my little Bota will pop them off the bar. I passed on a toothbar when I bought my tractor, though I thought I might go back for one. He quoted me $225. I'm going to have to see what make he sells.

I have a question for anyone that has the EZ Landscape toothbar - have you used it to smooth out a riding ring? My wife rides and we need something to keep down the weeds and to smooth it out. harrows will dig down to deep (the stone dust is only a couple of inches thick in some areas). Also, storage is an issue - a chain harrow looks like it might work but it's kind of bulky.... so the toothbar looks like it will work.

Funny...I forgot they were the crimp on type...but just looked at the tooth bar yesterday and noticed they were. I have done a LOT of back dragging and other work with this toothbar and have never had a problem loosing a tooth.
I never fear when I push on ANYTHING with this toothbar. It really does make the bucket very heavy duty. Along with the extra 1/4 inch angle I welded to the top lip...naturally... /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif
I don't think you will regret buying this toothbar. It really is a superior product, not that the other or bad or anything...maybe it is just overkill, but it sure makes me feel good to have it on my bucket... /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Thanks, Henro. I can hardly wait. I was looking at some sidewalk that I want to remove, and I think this toothbar should do the trick. Unfortunately, it really won't help me find a way to dispose of the concrete. /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif I may just have to stack it up for now, and just toss a 6" X 6" piece in the garbage each week... for the next ten years. /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif I tried to convince the wife I needed a backhoe to dig a pit to bury the concrete in, but that went over like a lead balloon.
