Toothbar is it worth it?

I too just put a toothbar on (WR Long toothbar on a Kubota 3010), one word... Amazing!. I still had a lot of branches and root stubble left from Isabell and I wasn't looking forward to going around and picking each one up by hand. With the tooth bar on I had no problem simply raking them into a pile and scooping them up. The thing is a brush pile magnet!, once they touch the toothbar they stick.

On backgrading I agree with the others, using the back of the loader is the way to go. One trick I learned with my Farmall H is to fill the bucket with dirt to help with backgrading. With the added weight in the bucket, all you need to do is put the loader in float position and you get a pretty decent leveling action.

Let me amend my previous post a little.
The backblading issue is the reason I don't have one. It is not to say that I will never own one.
I figure that I will cross that bridge when I come to it. If I can't cross the bridge, I'll buy a tooth bar so I can dig it up /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

WOW! Thanks for the clarifications!!

I bet a toothbar is what I'll wrap up for my wife's birthday!!!

Then it'll take her a LOT less time to bury me...

OK, - maybe I'll ask for one for MY birthday.

Of course, that won't keep her from enjoying it!
