The EA wicked toothbar helped me go in and remove 6' piles of clay, rock, soil, and roots pretty fast. I couldn't even touch these without it—probably the same with the piranha. I also leave mine on all the time and have no issues there.
Seaweed reminds me more of scooping grass clippings and limbs matted together. It should scoop, but I would also wonder about a pair of pallet forks or long bottom grapple. Various companies make clamp-on debris forks that may be more suited for that.
