Finally bought some teeth to build a toothbar. What angle should I put on the leading edge of the flat bar that the teeth are to be welded to? I was thinking around a thirty degree bevel. Would it be of any benefit to bevel the back edge as well?

Thanks in advance
Steve

A bevel on the back edge may help the bucket dump slightly cleaner.

Steve;
I just finished building my toothbar. I bought my base bar from Markham. It comes already beveled and it matched my Kubota FEL bucket edge angle perfectly. I think the angle is somewhere between 20 and 25 degrees. I also thought about beveling the back edge but after using the new toothbar in Georgia clay I noticed that there was very little or no clay sticking to the back edge of the toothbar. You can always try it out and bevel it later. Good luck.
