I just installed a Long brand toothbar on my B2150 loader bucket. What a difference! Reminds me of replacing a badly dulled band saw blade. I highly recommend it to anyone who has a loader.

I purchased it from the Carver Equipment crew. Flawless purchase and delivery. Good people to deal with.

How much was it ? What have you used it for? I`m considering ordering one. I have some areas that have small trees and brush (2-3 inch trunks). Edges of the field have grown in. I was hoping with a toothbar I could kind of pull/dig them out with the FEL.

Paul,

If you're thinking of one, just go ahead and buy one. You'll not regret it.

It increases the use of your FEL. Prior to installing mine, I could barely scratch the ground if I wanted to dig or root out a small stump. Now, with the toothbar I do not hesitate in tackling any digging jobs. I recently cut down some trees near our house. Had a contractor come in to remove the rest of the trees and the stumps. Took him less than an hour. I then fired up the JD with the FEL/toothbar and cleaned the area up. Took a little time to understand how to use it, but once you get the hang of it. Work goes very quickly. I also use it to clean out the honeysuckle and multiflora rose bushes from my rock outcroppings.

So far I've just used it to dig a little red clay and build a brush pile from small pines. I was very impressed with the increase in digging capacity, and the teeth extend the bucket lip by 5 or 6 inches for picking up sections of cut trees.

'sounds like it would come in handy for the clearing you need to do. I'd be very surprised if you regretted purchasing one.

I don't leave home without mine! (Well...when I'm moving snow I do leave it in the garage - its a little tough on the asphalt driveway! /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif)
