Jerry,

Thanks a bunch. Any chance of some pictures of your setup next time you're out by your 4400? I'd love to see how everything is set up together on yours. /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

Unfortunately I don't have a digital camera yet (maybe next Christmas) but I will assure you its a very clean setup. The kit comes with a rack that holds 4 quick connects (among other things), and number of pre-bent hard hydraulic lines. The rack with quick connects makes it easy to hook something else up if needed. Everything looks like it belongs the only exception are the black hydraulic cylinders. I'll try scanning the page from the parts manual next week. That will give you some idea.

Following are the scans from the JD parts manual of the kit for T&T. I will have to do these in two posts because they take up 2 pages (actually 4 with the parts list). This attachment shows the new cup holder arrangement with dual controls and the cable hook up to "spool valve" #25 on the next page.

Here is the hydraulic set up. All numbered parts on both pages are part of the BM19535 Kit. You ad the Power Beyond Kit, the cylinders and the four hydro lines to the cylinders and your in the T&T business. Hope this helps.

I am going to put top and tilt on my 4700. I plan to buy the parts and put something togther myself at a lot less than the cost of the parts from Deere. I assume that I need open center control valves. The hydraulics on this tractor operate at 2500# and the control valve I want to use is rated for 2500# with a relief valve set for 2000#. I will plumb the new control valve assy in series with the power beyond. My question is will the relief valve in the new control valve affect the pressure to the rockshaft?

Don, there are a lot of guys on the forum who know a lot more than I do about the hydraulics, but I'll give you my opinion anyway. I think the relief valve in the new control valve is only to relieve excessive pressure when you are using that valve. In other words, you're right that you'll want an open center valve and the hydraulic fluid is just flowing right through it until you move a control lever on it to use it. So I don't think the pressure to the rockshaft is affected unless you are trying to raise or lower the 3-point hitch simultaneously with using the new valve. I know that the top 'n tilt that I had on my B2710 was that way; i.e, you could not raise the 3-point and use the top 'n tilt valve simultaneously, which of course, was of no concern to me since I couldn't imagine needing to do both at the same time and wouldn't have enough hands to do everything at once anyway./w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif

Bird, thanks. That is what I thought but I just wanted an experienced second opinion.
