I saw this on craigs list and thought it was unique, one of a kind. Really interesting top, tilt and rippers..... there is a good demo video here TractorDemo on Vimeo

Anything with lots of hydraulic hoses gets me excited!

Too bad he used hoses as big as sewer pipes. Tiny 1/4" hoses would be just fine and leave less of a rat's nest. Those hoses look like 1/2" "fire hoses" to me. Without inline restrictors, I'd bet there's no fine control of position. Then again, maybe that little tractor has such low flow that it doesn't matter.

Why even bother with such a POS??

Sadly he has more tied up in hydraulic lines and cylinders than the tractor is worth
Although I've found more frivolous ways to blow my money

I guess I just missed the point of him having all of the hydraulics... The video didn't show me anything that he was doing that any old garden tractor without any hydraulics couldn't do. I suppose just the fact that he has them is good enough for him. His money to spend like he wants.

It's got an exhaust stack like his big brothers .....:cool2:

Why? Why does anyone use top and tilt? Just because it's capabilities are beyond what's shown in the video, is no reason to dismiss the concept.

Is there overkill in the build? Isn't there SUPPOSED to be?? Someday I'll have a 19 way adjustable blade that people will wonder what good it's for, but I'll put it to good use.

I agree. It's ability was not well demonstrated in the video.

As to his tractor. It's what he owns. He might think ours are POS.

Yep, with experience he probably could have streamlined the build and plumbing. I'm sure if you ask him, he'll agree, next time.

I applaud his efforts.

I posted this because I thought it was unique, although it is by far overkill for the size tractor. It appears he made his own three point hitch and the box blade is home made as well. This person put a lot of work into this little guy and did a pretty decent job of it. And I agree "It's ability was not well demonstrated in the video", the little tractor (riding lawn mower) neither has the power or weight to demonstrate the uses for top and tilt. But I do applaud the person that built it, Can not figure out why though. might be a good retirement project...
