What is the maximum stroke length the disc was designed to use? If the cylinder has to much stroke, will it bend something on the disc? I would go with 2.5" diameter. The tie rod cylinders have been around forever, and are decent quality
Sounds like you have your bases covered.Yes tie rod piston, I bought the disk last year the main channel down the middle was cracked, had to stitch some beads so I could disk, in September I took apart the disk to re furbish, old worn disks were 15 to 17 inches, tires were shot, new. : 20" disks, tires, bolts, 3" c channel that wheel carrier bolts to, new main frame tube 4 x 4 x 3/8, paint, hoses.
The old disks with 8" stroke piston would make contact with the ground, with new 20" disks, I am looking for 3" or so more height,
I have 6" before tires make contact with front gangs.
I will re assemble the disk and and measure for piston
Sorry for the confusion, I was just looking to use a piston I had, but as someone said for 100 bucks buy the right one. Thanks again for the input. Dennis
