Top link rod install?

Hi, I just got a top link for my 3 pt. hitch and it came with the rod for adjusting detached. How do you put the rod through the hole in the adjuster without grinding off one end of the crimp?

LOL I just bought a new top link and said how crazy is this , cant put the rod threw the hole , checked out TBN and bingo ! beat it with a hammer !
