Mahindra 1538
At the risk of asking a question already answered (I couldn't find it) I'd like some help. Mahindra 1538 with a backhoe and its got what I'm assuming are rear remotes (one set). I've got a hose with a quick coupler and then two more couplers. All three are plugged in to the backhoe when it's on there. When it's off, i plug the hose into one of the couplers to make the three point work. I want a top n tilt. So i have a spool valve with in, out, and byd connections. I need to know where each one should plug in so my 3 point works and I get top n tilt function as well for two cylinders.
Thanks!

I have a 1538 without the BH. If you can take a pic of the couplers on the machine that may help. I’m not understanding what’s on the machine.....coupler then two more couplers....

The first is how it's hooked up for the 3 point to work. The other is with the bh on.

I want to do the same as you, adding a T and T function using the BH ports. I have the same set up to hook up the BH. Hopefully someone will be along that can explain which ports do what.

I have a suspicion that the hose is the pressurized supply line, the port that it plugs back into is to provide pressure to the 3 point hitch. I think the remaining " blank" port is a return to the tank, but ??.

I know the T and T valve has to be "open center" to allow fluid to continue to pass through. I'm under the assumption (you know what that means) that the hose from the tractor would go to the 'in' port on the valve. Then the 'out' port from the valve would be plumbed back to the port where the hose would normally get connected to. Again, I'm assuming that would provide pressure to the 3 point.

My confusion comes with the 3 hoses that are used for the BH. I would assume (there's that word again) that the 3 hoses are required....so wouldn't the T and T valves need the same 3 ??

I hope someone can explain this hook-up in very simple terms... I've ben contemplating this project for a while....

LS mt125 owner, When the BH is off, the Power Beyond (the hose in my pics) connects to the Pressure coupler, as seen in the pic. Nothing is connected to the return. So, to hook up my spool valve, there is an "in," an "out," and a "BYD."
I'll hook the "in" to the pressure, the "out" to the return, and the "BYD" to the Power Beyond. Now I'm looking to where to mount the valve. When I bought the valve, I had only planned on using top and tilt. But now I plan to get a blade, which will use top, tilt, and angle cylinders. I'm also considering a new box blade with hyd. rippers. Maybe not 'cause that's a lot of money, but I might as well plumb it all up so it's there in the future if I need it. So, I'm actually going to get a new valve, along with a ROPs mounted bracket from Gearmore.com
I'll take pics when it's done for you and anyone else looking at doing this.

I would definitely like to know what valve you end up getting, and for sure, the hookup pics!

So, I did find a diagram for a remote valve for my tractor. It names the 3 connections differently. I think this is were my frustration came in before. "From the pump", is pressurized so naturally to the 'in' port. The 2 returns from the valve are called 'to drain' (assuming no pressure), so the valve "out" port would be connected to here. The other is called 'to hydraulic housing'. I'm assuming again that the 'to hyd housing' would be pressurized and would come from the BYD port on the valve?

What do you do with the connections when you take the BH off?
