This is fantastic feedback. Thank you.On a side note, noticed the lynch pins on your 3 ph arms. I lost one of those while working in brush and nearly had a broken casting as a result when brush hogging.
Because so seldom ever needing the arms removed, I replaced those lynch pins with bolts and lock nuts. Something to consider.

I took a look at the first new filter location pic you showed and it's definitely not there. I like your idea on the second pic you showed where it may be going into that housing.
Dumb question: Are these lines under pressure? Can I just pop that nut off? Or do I need to drain all the fluid first?
