Toro Clevis Hitch

I have a Toro 312-8 garden tractor, circa 1994. I want to purchase either a Brinly or Agri-Fab box scraper. They both require a sleeve hitch. I am thinking of buying a Toro sleeve hitch, part #85518. Will the Brinly or Agri-Fab work with this hitch? Looking at the pictures I am not sure what keeps the box scraper from moving side to side? I don't see any type of support to prevent this. What are the benefits of the clevis hitch as opposed to just using the hitch that is on the tractor?
