Anyone on here using the Total Gym XLS? Opinions?

Chuck Norris is cool. Christy Brinkly is hot. That's a lot of money to spend on something you could do with your body and resistance bands.

I used a total gym during rehab of my rotator cuff under a therapist's direct supervision. It was well built and quiet.

I was interested in a Total Gym, but they cost over $100 on CL here most the time. Then last year, wife and I went to an auction, and I picked one up for $2.50 (!) :thumbsup: No other bidders.

Haven't used it much, but I did use one a lot when I was in physical therapy for my knee operations. They are really good for that.

If I ever decide to get rid of it, I'll just put it by the road with a "FREE" sign. It's gotta be worth more than $2.50 at the local metal salvage (it weighs a ton).

I have had a regular Total Gym for years. It is exactly what they said it was, and I found it worthwhile. I have seen them quite cheap used and at a local place called "Play It Again Sports" which sells used sporting goods.

I am looking at used ones so the price isn't as bad as new.

That's a good strategy. We have a used Nordic Trak ski machine that my wife has used for probably 20 years. Still works as good as the day we got it and it was 5 years old then. :thumbsup:
