Tours of Kubota Plant?

Does anyone know if the Kubota assembly plant in Gainesville, GA has tours for the general public of the plant? I visited the GM plant for Corvettes in Bowling Green, KY last year was interesting seeing how they build my dream car. Going to GA on vacation this year , thought I would stop in to see all that orange!

I am sure the plant in Gainsville Ga would be happy to arrange something. Give the PR department a call. If you make prior reservations I am sure they would be glad to extend some southern hospitality

Go Yankees;Send an email to the Gainsville chamber of commerce. You can runa search on one of the search engines for the address. Tell themwhen you'll be driving thru and they will arrange a tour. I lookedinto it 2 yrs ago, but had to cancel for family considerations. ..RayBee

I don't know if the Kubota factory in Gainesville does tours but I will try to find out. I drive with in 5 miles of it each week as we go to our mountain home. I do know that they do not build tractors there, that is done in Japan and they are crated and shipped to the US. Your dealer uncrates and does the final assembly on all of the B and L series tractors. The M series may be assembled at the factory because I see them shipped with wheels and tires all the time. What the plant does build are the loaders and backhoes. The metal fabrication is contracted out and the welding, assembly and painting is done at the plant. They are supposed to have a very impressive welding line.

If you can find the time between now and say July to stop by and find out what they offer as a tour that would be great. I would love to see the paint line, all that ORANGE......

I have not found out about the tours yet, been out of town a bit this month, although I have tried. The number for the manufacturing plant is; 770 532-0038 if anyone else wants to give them a try. Their phone system made it rather hard to contact the gentleman that was recommended to talk with. I will try again as soon as I can.

McCallum, you might as well head straight to your dealer for the FEL parts. I know the factory will not do anything except through their dealer network.
