tow ball....small shank....where?

Pictures are worth a thousand words. Because I could weld it myself I'd cut the flange off flush on the bottom & weld in a 4"x4"x1/4" then drill to 3/4". Time & money - if you have to pay for welding, etc, the receiver is probably the way to go. MikeD74T

No welding equipment and no experience with it. Plus I don't want to ruin the looks of the tractor for future resale. I'm a stickler for selling something that looks completely stock so as not to make the buyer wonder what you did with it.

I have one of those on my 2542 CC. I plan to clone it and put one on the 1250 and 1000.

Curious to learn if you successfully cloned the hitch to fit the 1000 series CC. I would be interested in purchasing one if available.

Didn't know I didn't update this. Found a 5/8" shank 1-7/8" ball at TSC and another later at Rural King. Rural King was 1/2 the price of TSC for the same item.
Works fine with 2" receiver.
