Thanks for the replies. Unfortunately I need to remove the PI now without damaging non-weeds types. I will try the 2,4,-DP, though.

As for sprayers I found a 3point Hitch and a trailer prayer at TSC. Does anyone have any recommendations for either? I think the 3PT is less maintenance, but then again, I can use the trailer sprayer with any vehicle.
Any experience based anecdotal comments or suggestions?
Thanks
Rick

I considered both types too but went with the 25 gallon tank sprayer. I can mount it on the back of my atv or set it in my FEL. You could also mount it on a carry-all on the rear of your tractor. Best of all, the tank type will store easier for me than a pull behind or 3ph type.

You can also buy the tank sprayers with just a gun, or get a boom with them too.

I like using Remedy on my pastures to control PO/I and broadleafs. It does take repeated treatments in some areas. but does not kill your grass.

Good Luck.

I purchased the 60 gal (55?) 3PH Fimco model from TSC - it has the 12 foot boom. I fabbed a wand for it (spliced it into the boom side with a valve to direct boom / wand) for about 100 $.

I wanted the 3PH version as I use it for my yard (~ 7 acres), my shelterbelt (tight turning), and 3 pastures (with some slope in one). If I had a 4-wheeler, I'd have opted for that version -- but, hey, I get the same thing on the back of the little Kubota w/o dropping $6K on a a Kawasaki King Quad.

Round Up Poison Ivy and Brush Killer will do the job very effectively but it's expensive. I have used it for years on mulitflura rose, spray it on in the spring and in several weeks it will die.

I wonder if any of you have seen the newest roundup product. I bought some recently, and man does it get the job done.
This is a strong powdered form that you mix up yourself.

I had tried that premix CRAP that Home Depot sells, and it did next to nothing. I didn't realize the major differences in strengths.

Here's a copy/paste from the site where I bought the product, and I'll include the URL also

( Brand New!! Roundup Quik-Pro Instant Kill. This product contains the proven killing power of Glyphosate, in its strongest solution ever, 73.3% glyphosate and 2.9% diquat. )

It's on sale right now for $100.13 and shipping to me was just under $10. It makes 73 gallons, a much better deal.
