I pull my 7000 lb travel trailer up/down my steep 25% driveway with my HST equipped MX. Brakes seem adequate and plenty of power. If the area is fairly flat and the road graded, I'd probably hook up and test how it feels. If it felt good, I'd probably attempt it. If not, not. Go slow. Grade the road first. Use 4wd for better traction and braking.
I pull my trailer up the drive because the 2wd truck doesn't have enough traction. Just slips in the gravel.
Edit: Your tongue weight might concern me. I suspect your tongue weight might be a tad heavy. Definitely check that.
