towing trailer from swinging drawbar

A swinging drawbar typically has a pin or pins to lock it in position either centered or offset to one side when you don't want it to swing. You may want to look into this.

Sounds like you need one of these. That would get you back farther for towing the trailer.

 I need some help. Im trying to tow a landscape style trailer from the "swinging Drawbar" My tractor is a TC55da with FEL. Im refering to the swinging drawbar as the solid bar, not a 3pt attached receiver hitch. The problem is this...The snout/triangle on the front of the landscape trailer is short, so when I turn the tractor, the trailer will rub against the rear tires of the tractor. Using a 3pt attachment for a receiver will NOT work for me, I already have a log skidding winch attached to the 3pt arms. I can raise the winch out of the way, to get access to the swinging drawbar. I would like to extend the swinging drawbar about 1 ft, to allow for better clearance between the trailer and tractor tires. Im guessing issues may arise as to tongue weight, if the drawbar were to be extended. Has anyone every seen a pin on type drawbar extension? Any other ideas?

WHY??,,.... Are you using the drawbar, unpined,?? Swinging drawbars, were designed for tillage use ONLY, so what are you Thinking???? looks like a train wreck coming your way,...

Is there any way you could fasten a short section of 2.5X2.5" square tubing to your logging winch and use it as a receiver?
I use an 8000lb electric winch plugged into my 3pth bracket and I've welded another reciever to the bottom of my winch frame. When I get the logs to the tractor I then pull with the tow bar instead of the winch.

What I did was cut a hole in the dozer blade on my winch and welded in a 2" receiver hitch socket. When I want to haul my trailer I put my receiver hitch in. I also made a blank to fill the hole to keep debris out when not using it.
