Toyota is soon to be announced #1 again after a 2 year recovery from the tsunami in Japan.
Volkswagon will be moving into the # 2 slot with GM bringing up the rear.
Shocked to hear the Volt wasn't the answer?
Not me
I still haven't heard "How much it costs to charge a Chevy Volt 1 time"
How many kWh are you going to use up to run that car 30 miles?
On top of a $42.000 price tag Add $3000 + for a rapid charger.
This is rediculious:laughing:
Henry Ford paid his workers a wage large enough to put one of his cars in every driveway.

I hope VW has upped the quality a little. My wife has had 2 New Beetles (a 1999 and 2003). The 99 was a tough little car, but the 2003 was a turd. Build quality between the two was noticabley different. The 99 was made in Germany, the 2003 was made in Mexico and the quality definately suffered.

Are these sales numbers? Consumer Reports ratings? JD Powers?

I see it as thinly veiled political troll bait.

Are those sales numbers for the United States, North America, worldwide? Are those sales number based on total production, cars only, or what? Be kinda nice to have a point of reference.

15 Million fine for failure to recall vehicles with a potential slipping floor mat ?

Boy are they grabbing at straws. A letter to tell owners if they don't like the floor mats buy some from Wallmart is in order. Huge safety problem there. Owner can't keep the floor mats from shifting on the carpet. Last I seen they had tiny rubber points that held them in place.
How do they decide the fine amount.... how much money the company has ??????
Most of us wish we had the money to buy a lexus SUV.

VW # 2 in what ?? Certainly not in electrical systems, sales, or design. ( pay closer attention to the newscasts ! )
