Does this ring a bell? "Toyota fined again for the same thing. U.S. fines Toyota again for delayed safety reports | cleveland.com" Btw how long has Ford been putting hooks in? I bet nowhere near as many years as Toyota has wonder where they picked the idea up hummm?

Guys like you that are quick to throw rocks should look in their own mirror before hand just sayin.

I didn't throw rocks at anybody....I did not say anything bad about Toyota. You said the Big Three did NOT use hooks I proved you wrong and you whine about it .Guys like you???? Give me a break.

We have a 25 yr old BMW Sunday car that has mitten clips in the carpet at the rear of where your front mats go. Simple, though not Big 3.

There was a time when American cars were the best on the road, hands down. Nobody came close...
That must have been the time when there werent any foreign cars on the road at all.... ;) No, American cars certainly dont have a quality reputation here in Europe, where "buy American" doesnt fly...

Toyota is soon to be announced #1 again after a 2 year recovery from the tsunami in Japan.
Volkswagon will be moving into the # 2 slot with GM bringing up the rear.

Looks to be global sales numbers - so is it surprising the masses buy these "Big 3" ?.......& the same masses ...........naively purchase the no name/genetically modified products in supermarkets ? .... are oblivious to supporting local industry/products ? ........ swing the elections in favour of the governments we all seem to suffer?...... influence the global economy which remains largely in turmoil?.....&.......well you get the drift......

On this basis I'm happy to remain in the minority, including in what I drive....etc..Guess there's also good reason I have never taken too kindly to having sheep on our farms long term....:sarcastic::D

I have to say vw would have to have come a long ways I mean a light year ahead in production technology and QC to even even get a whiff of which way any US made car especially a Toyota went.

around here you can't swing a dead cat without hitting at least one tdi, and literally every one that i've talked to loves them. when compared to an equal price point american car, i always thought they were of at least equal quality in fit and finish, and probably better in long term reliability. one thing to note is that they appeal to a different type of driver than most american vehicles. some people think buicks are the best thing since sliced bread, but i'd take a stiff suspension european car over something that resembles my living room couch on wheels.

Driven a Buick lately?...They aren't even close to what you say.....A friend of mine works on German cars and he told me the only good VW is a TDI...When one of my employees was looking at a VW gasser he told me to tell her to stay away---problems after problems.

You be a smart man!!
I had to look up troll bait tonight.
Sorry not the reason for the post.
Caught my attention when News 5 said Volkswagon in the line up.
I did not hear the rest of the news item because i was getting ready to leave for work.
Thought sommeone else might get the rest of the story later that day.
I haven't found the topic on NEWS 5 website.
They have a habbit of telling a headline and never a follow up to the headline.
I guess they think you'll take the next three days off and wait for the rest of the story?
