Toyota sales off more than GM or Ford

The difference is Toyota has their own bank for hiccups in the economy and to pay their workers. Ford and GM run to congress for help... while their employees draw unemployment that we pay!

Would it interest you to know that many foreign automakers HAVE been previously bailed out or supported by their governments?

Toyota does have massive cash reserves, but so did the Big 3.

You mean it was made at the Oshawa Assembly Plant in Ontario, CANADA. You know, the one that consistently wins JD Power Quality awards. Where it was made wasn't responsible for your issues.

The dealership about ruined the AC(put too much in the system),and the trans.(serviced it & didn't put enough in), then I found out that it was made in CANADUH!!!

And how are these dealer issues relevant to where the truck was assembled? ... I might add, with the AC-Delco components you are complaining about (batt & alternator) sourced from Michigan.

JD Powers ratings are bought and sold just like most all other commodities in this world. AC Delco products aren't always made here in the USA. Look at the box for product info. I work in a Government Fleet facility, and see more Ford & AC Delco parts that have other than "Made in the USA" printed on their parts. That was our down fall. Sub-letting to low bid countries.

Exactly. Every complaint he has made about GM really relates to the dealer and their service department and not much about the GM product itself.

GM is big time in Canada. Seems like very few people realize GM is a multi national company. They build vehicles in 32 countries.

And you don't think Japanese auto manufacturers don't do the same thing?

You've got be naive to think that ANY car manufacturer doesn't want to save money by outsourcing to Asia, Mexico, etc.

I had a Volvo XC90 V-8. Cost me $54,000. I would like to think most of it was made in Sweden by Volvo. Engine? Nope. Tranny? Nope.

There was plenty of "Made in China" and "Made in mexico" parts on that car.

I believe assembled my Toyota would be more accurate.

Look at the parts origins. Mostly Japan, not the USA.
