My wife carries her cell phone in her Infiniti, so she's prepared. I just wish I had advice like that when I owned my Toyota. We've owned Audi, Chevy, Dodge, Ford, Infiniti, Lincoln, Nissan, Suzuki, & Toyota, and my Toyota was the only one which has left me needing a cell phone. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

I read an article today about Honda CR-V's catching fire. Superior engineering put the exhaust system directly under the oil filter. Honda, reminiscent of the Big Three, blamed the service techs for not removing the oil filter gasket that gets stuck on the motor block without their knowledge, thus causing the oil leak. Officially the company is considering rewriting the instructions on replacement filters. Considering? There's already 164 people that reported that they had their own flaming Honda. /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif
I guess the good news is that they catch fire before the lack of oil seizes up the engine. /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

Guy's I'm not really anti-Toyota, I gave them serious consideration when I shopped for a truck this past year. J had me very interested in the TRD supercharger for the Tundra, but that expense wasn't insignificant. Sorry to dissappoint, but Dodge was the best truck for me, not for you, but for me. I looked at all of the trucks before I made my purchase. I researched the selling prices, resale values, fuel consumption, reliability, and safety reports. I read the reviews, went to the autoshow, and drove the candidates. That's how I found the best truck for me and my needs. Unlike a couple of comments that I got here at TBN, I have no less fear of my Dodge breaking down than I would a Toyota or any other brand for that matter. The Dodge passed the Initial Quality Survey with zero defects, and that's better than the average Toyota...and Dodge to be fair.
Some guys take offense to the anti-Japanese sentiment, and other take offense to the Anti-American sentiment. Everyone seems to take sides for one reason or another. Guys, read the surveys, read the reports, drive the vehicles - if Toyota is your well thought out answer time and time again then that's okay, but at least open your eyes, things have changed. Generalizations about American cars are no more sillier than generalizations about Japanese cars. I could say the Koreans are kicking everyone's butt right now, and in 20 years the Chinese will be, but what's the point in that. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
