More children die in car accidents than from riding in tractor buckets or going on hay rides. Should we ever take our kids for a ride in a car again? Children have also been killed riding horses, bicycles, motor bikes, etc. Children have died playing many different types of sports.
I am not trying to undermine what has been said but put it in perspective. It is tragic when accidents happen, but how can we really determine what is carelessness? In many cases it boils down to personal opinion and no hard rules can be made.
I will likely get shot for this but ...... I will post it anyway.
Not going to shoot you but the risks involved in getting killed riding in a FEL bucket from falling out are exponentially higher than the others. It is quite unlikely that anyone has the reflexes to stop in time to avoid running over someone should they fall and or jump out.
We all do stupid things time and again without thinking about it. However, with all due respect, this one's a no-brainer.
