I use this setup for pushing LIGHT snow off of my concrete driveway. I wouldn't want to be ramming snow plow piles with it, but it works great for fresh snow. I "fixed" it to the angle I have to push my drive off. When the bottom 2X8 flakes out, I reverse it, then change it. Very fast and cheap.
That is a great idea. just bolt a piece of steel to the bottom edge

It looks like it is frame-mounted, definitely not on loader arms.

Does anyone know if that is a six-way blade or only four-way ?

If it is only 4-way, a 4-n-1 bucket can do everything the blade can do, and a whole lot more.

I'm not really familiar with 4-n-1 buckets, but clearly should read up on them. Are they good dozer substitutes (within inherent CUT limitations)?

Just to clarify...

The Male Quick Hitch and Subframe (BX2751) is an Up/Down subframe mounted quick hitch assembly and is used for the front mount snowblower (BX2750C) and Sweeper with the optional BX2752 or BX2753 Mid PTO drive assembly. Of course the PTO is not needed for the blades, the smaller of which (TG2754) has a manually adjusted angle, while the larger cousin (BX2763A) has hydraulic angle adjustment. The subframe is suprisingly easy to put on and off and if it were not for the fact that it is done only once each season, a time may yet arrive when I need not refer to the owner's manual. Suprisingly strong for the little single cylinder, it easily lifts the front wheels off the ground to scrape with the snowblower blade. Oh, and the FEL can go on without removing it.:D

My 4-n-1 bucket will act as a dozer with up-down and tip-tilt (but no left-right) adjustments. I call it a 1/2 @$$ed bulldozer.

It is useful for spreading material, and I have knocked down a number of dirt mounds with it. In order to get the "dozer" bade, the bottom of the bucket pivots up & over it, which causes visibility problems. I suspect enough experience would resolve that. The lack of a left-right angle adjustment certainly reduces utility.

All of the disadvantages are balanced by being able to instantly change from blade to bucket without getting out of the seat, and by the clamshell pickup capability.

It is clearly a compromise, but a very useful compromise.
