Tractor backhoe - homemade

I'd say it's not that people don't want to pay for quality, it's more that it's difficult to find a quality product to pay for. Of course there are the exceptions.
Or else, the other products are "good enough" and they don't want to pay extra for an item that greatly exceeds their needs (ie: the same reason that the tools that live on our tractors are from HF, not Snapon).

It depends on the price/quality ratio. I'm afraid yours will be too expensive to be commercially feasible as people dont pay for quality these days... cheap, cheap, cheap...

If it would ever go into real production I don't think it would be to expensive, it would cost a little over the cost of a high quality front loader, and there are people who would pay that amount to get a quality backhoe attachment

So many intangibles when calculating costs. Like how long does girlfriend need bathroom breaks? Don't answer. I'm just kidding. It is the manufacturing side of me coming out.

Maybe sell Jack in China the rights to mfg and sell?

Honestly, I could see setting up to make these with your own waterjet, CNC mill and some other stuff to handle the iron. If setup lean with maybe 5 man crew and everyone helps paint on 1 day of week, I believe you could make for about the same as a comparable backhoe. Some stuff will get revised to make mfg easier maybe. I think logistics could be your biggest headache.

People want to pay for bragging rights of a brand name with all the advertising that goes with it to make everybody else aware how great the product is your customer bought... They dont pay for just quality :)

Today I managed to find some time to make some pins and bushings to finish the bucket mechanism...so here is the whole movement

Looks like you have designed a nice "quick attach" solution for a single pin on/off for the bucket. VERY NICE!

Very impressive. Looks like you have a lot of rotation on the curl. Excited to see it in operation
