Bfreaky, for your reference: Hitachi puts a lot of info in their brochures, with hydraulic pressure, cylinder bore and stroke, bucket force and stick length. They give a sense of ratio for your design.
I am referencing the Hitachi 3.3 tonne model to build behind my 3011. The 3011 weighs less than 3.3 ton but the center of gravity is further away from the tipping point than with an excavator, so you get more stability in relation to the vehicle weight...
Thanks. I've already bought all the cylinders. Size is quite similar; lift, dipper, and 2nd dipper will have 100/50 - stroke 800, bucket cylinder will be 80/50 - stroke 800, swing also 100/50 - stroke 200 mm, and stabilizers 60/40 - 700 mm.
