You want a stuck clutch or some slightly weak springs? your choice.

NH compacts used to come with small blocks of wood SPECIFICALLY for blocking the clutch when not in use for long periods. my 1997 NH 9120 had one .

I have some old fords that I block the clutch on.. my 2N and my 850.. both wioll get sticky if i don't... both work fine otherwise..

Let it slip a couple of times to clean up the rust . Park it in a shed and keep it dry and it should never happen again . If it's constantly wet from snow/condensation etc you may need to block it .

From my experience.. once a clutch sticks a few times.. it will be a sticker from then on.

edit on my previous post.. make that a NH 1920 .. etc.

Problem solved, With the clutch padel blocked down, I managed to get the tractor in high range fourth gear while going down a hill on smooth pavement. When the tractor leveled off and started up a small incline, the clutch disengaged. Was a good feeling when the clutch disengaged was looking at large $$$ to have it torn down and repaired. Thanks everyone.
The other thing I have done is have some kind of implement raised on the back like a plow or disk and after you get it going drop the plow in the ground (with the clutch down all the time of course).

My B7100 had those, too. I never thought they were standard equipment, though. They were just in the little tool cubby in the side of the dash/column area along with a cheap wrench and a couple of dead mice when I bought the thing.

I have a New Holland and if I don't block the clutch and the weep hole in the bottom of the bell housing clogs this will happen in like 2 weeks time. I just take it up a hill and put it in high range, 3rd or 4th gear and get her rolling real fast and lock the brakes up, the clutch plates will normally pop right off. Or in cool weather work the piss out of the tractor and heat the transmission up real hot and usually when they cool off at night they contract and pop off!!!!

Hi
I have a ford 1920 with a backhoe and when the clutch sticks I raise the back wheels off the ground and start it let it get going good then apply the brakes and the load will break the clutch disk free.
