I wouldn't know where to begin with all the implements etc. I do know a guy who recently bought a 4310 just to mow 2 acres ! 12,500 per acre /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif I guess
I'm around $95 per acre.

I'm at $6,400 per acre, but I dod'nt buy my tractor based on my acreage. I bought it because I needed something strong enough to lift heavy objects for me. So, lets see, I moved about ten trees and ten big rocks. That puts me at $800 per move.

I also have a Zero Turn Mower that cost me $3000 per acre.

$19,800 worth of tractor divided by 15 acres plus $9,400 worth of barn equals...

OK, skip the barn. $1,320

OK, I'll play too...

If you use the simple $$$ out vs. land size I'm at about $1400 / acre.

But that doesn't take into account the fact that over the 6 years (! - time flies!) I've been using my tractor I've not had to pay someone $1500 or so each year (had to do it one year) to clear my pasture of tall, dried weeds. (This is important out here in California, you know /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif). I've also used it to maintain my various driveways - if I didn't have it I'd either be paying to have it done or drive on really nasty dirt trails.

So when you factor the purchase and maintenance costs over your period of ownership and then deduct the money you *haven't* spent on getting required work on your property the real number goes down real fast.

Oh, sure, I could just be trying to justify it /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif...

Awww crap! I don't like this calculation at all! /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

I have a brand new tractor with loader, MMM, rake, back blade, weight box, and heated cab and just a bit over 1 acre of land. I know I'm not the highest but I've got to be pretty close! That puts me at about $14.8K per acre... /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

Whew..... I was reading this thread, doing some quick math and I was not feeling good about my position, but Bob..... you saved me. I have a little less than 2.5 acres and between my Kubota and JD riding mower and all the attachments I am a little over 10k per acre. OUCH.......... and worth every penny!

Hmmm
Guess I would be about $3500.00 and acre (though I have not got the thing home yet) but, I figure about 8 dollars a rock. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

er...I have lots of big rocks /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif
