$6,689 per acre for the Kubota and its accessories, with nothing included for the Ford and its stuff.

The Ford has been kept over at Mom-in-law's place since last Spring so it would be handy when I worked over there. It's nice, but not entirely necessary to have a pair of tractors to care for 2.25 acres.......................chim

Lets see... $15,000 invested / 3.487 that I own =$4301.69. /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif
No way, to high, lets try this again. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif
$15,000 invested / mine + what I use of neighbors + state ground used to help someone else hay (~ 18 acres total)=$ 833.33 /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif MUCH BETTER!

Yah, I like F350Lawman's calculations...

Ours would be $179.19 by the acre, but $2583.33 per horse!!!!

BUT... it ain't just for the horses is it????

Just try to figure out how much the seat time keeps us out of other types of trouble we could be stirring up. Thats worth a bunch of money there.

Now if we start figuring in cattle and horses then I probably would be down around the .23 range. /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

OK, I've got 7.68 acres & $17,000 = $2213.54, but the bad news is I'm not done yet. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif Only attachments I have are FEL, MMM, and KK 4' Rotary Cutter. Still have lots that I want & need. But here is the good thing, I'm able to keep the grass mowed w/o having to either try to fix one of the old riders I was using or trying to push mow 6 acres of land - that wasn't fun. /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif I'll stay with the New Holland. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif I figure my the time I'm done I'll end up around $2700 an acre. But at least the New Holland as helped me build its new home even though it didn't help pay for it. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I like Bill M's calc /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif so I'll use it /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Lets see... $18,000 invested / 15 ac that I own =$1200.00

Using Bills formula.
$18,000 invested / mine & what I use of neighbors + Public road upkeep, keeping the sisters grass mowed and road fixed, same with Dad (~ 50 acres total)=$ 360.00 some better! /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

To take it a step futher /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif
If you amortize that over 20 years then I'm down to $18/acre/year /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif . Now I'm feeling better /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
