I know I read about this once on the forum...well it happened to me.

I was going down my steep driveway in Range 2 2nd gear going from acceleration to using the engine as a brake when she just took off.

Never got away from, wasn't even scared just puzzled. I keep my foot covering the brake for such unforseen events.

Anyway it was the load range the came out of gear not the gear select. I was sitting squarley in the seat so no accidental bumpage here. This is the first time this has happened without reason.

Usually my pug sleeps there and has knocked it out of range while were underway, no pug , no excuse this time.

Anybody else hear of this phenomenon?? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Is there a chance that you didn't have it fully engaged? That is the only time that I have ever had that type of problem with a tractor that didn't have a mechanical problem. If it was fully engaged, it could have been caused from two or three different reasons.

It is quite possible, however I figured it's in gear or its not. I dont look at the range selector when i switch, I just move till I feel it grab, then let off the clutch.

go figure..
