John Deere D110
Hello,

Signed contract on 100 Acres here in Australia, 25 will need to be mowed to run farm animals eventually, the rest is for deere and bush.

Need the minimum viable tractor as will need to use cash, as you can't get a non stupid high interest loan unless your a business with 3 years income records.

Have to save for a loader so tractor and mulcher only for now.

Have ever dealer other than LS and Yanmar nearby. Don't think they operate in Australia.

Have looked at MF 2615-4R, Solis S50 and TYM503. Can't afford the TYM. Any others I have missed? I like the MF for its low stance, there are hills on the place, maybe 15 degrees slope. Solis is cheaper though.

Used is hard, there are so few it's crazy, prices are high and still sell within days. Have a month so still looking for used machines too.

Would be using A 5-6 foot flail mower, tall woody grass (Panic) and Lantana A woody weed in Australia can get 6ft tall with a stem upto 6 inches thick. Would pull the big stuff out with a chain, Mulch the small/medium stuff and spray the regrowth.

Thank you for any help.

Mowing 25 acres with a 5 to 6 foot mower is going to take quite a while and if you are wanting to keep mowed regularly a bunch of time.

The MF is probably heavy and powerful enough to run a mower larger than 6'. But at least in the USA, mowers get much more expensive above 6'.

Rotary cutters will generally cost less than flails, and are probably easier to find used.

If you're operating on slopes get the 4 wheel drive. Without it there's no braking on the front wheels.

Probably not what you want to hear but it can be hard to find a loader for a tractor you already have, and often expensive if you do find it. People with loaders on their tractors rarely want to sell them, and dealers don't usually stock them.

Oh yea, the idea is to get the Lantana gone (Poisonous to livestock) then stock it and let them mow it, most likely in stages. House yard is only 2 Acres, it doesn't have the tall grass and Lantana like the rest.

Checked with dealer, they can get them separately while the model is current. Costs more as need to get the machine back to them and pay install fee. $12000 for the 4 in 1 alone though...
