With a two bottom? About forever and a half!

Would there be a better way than flat breaking to kill love grass and get ready to plant wheat then native grass ?

Someone who live in an area with those types of plants could probably answer better than I. We don't have those particular grasses around here, and don't plant wheat.

I have read that some are spraying to kill off certain grasses and disking in different directions to prepare the surface, but this is just not something I do here.

There are plenty who disagree with plowing ground at all any more, but I don't know how you're supposed to get rid of the unwanted growth first.

Re: Tractor for moving downed tree\'s.

Check with your local Soil Conservation Service office. They can probably tell you what the no-till farm operations in your area use. I can't give you a name or anything, but a broad spectrum non-residual pre and post emergent herbicide should kill it all. I don't know how much residue you would have since I'm not familiar with your local plants, but you could leave it lie, work it into the soil, or burn it off as best suits your needs and time. I would tend to leave it as a cover for the seeds and to protect the soil.

1 1/2 times forever......

Where are you in OK? I went up to eastern Oklahoma a few years ago and really enjoyed the place. My other half is officially Cherokee and we visited some of her family.
