LOVE THIS WEBSITE. ANYWAY I NEED YOUR THOUGHTS. STARTED OUT TO BUY A NH TC29DA FOR A SMALL TRACTOR W/ A 14LA LOADER FOR MISC. WORK, WELL ACTUALLY TO "PLAY WITH". NH DEALER WAS MUCH TOO HIGH FOR THAT AMT. OF TRACTOR ($19,500). LOVE BLUE BUT WENT THE JD DEALER AND PRICED A 4210 W/420 LOADER FOR $16,900. SPECS ARE VERY CLOSE BUT NH HAS MUCH BETTER VISIBILITY BUT NOT $2600 WORTH. WENT BACK TO JD DEALER AGAIN TO FIND OUT HOW MUCH TRACTOR I CAN BUY FOR $19,500 FROM HIM AND NOW I'M LOOKING AT A 4610 WITH A 460 FEL FOR $22,700. I THOUGHT A LARGER CHASSIS TRACTOR WOULD BE A LOT STONGER AND HAVE ABOUT 700# MORE LIFT CAPACITY. JD SALESMAN SAID I COULD WAIT TILL LATE JUNE WHEN JD COMES OUT WITH THEIR NEW AERO HOOD CURVED ARM LOADER ON THEIR LRG, CHASSIS NOT ON MID-CHASSIS MODELS. I STARTED OUT MID AND NOW I'M UP TO LARGE. WOULD I ENJOY SMALL OR REGRET LATER?? I HAVE A FORD 3000 THAT I LOVE BUT THOUGHT TRADING FOR A JD 4610 W/FEL AND FORGETTING ABOUT A SMALLER TRACTOR ALTOGETHER. BESIDES FORD 3000 I ALSO HAVE A FARMALL 140 AND A FORD 7740 (86HP). WOULD LOVE SOME FEEDBACK.

It's tough to narrow down to what you need vs. what you want. NH was a lot more in my area on comparable machines - but I only priced at 1 dealer for Blue - so thats far from confirmed. I ended up at the Deere dealer for the same issue - price. I doubt you'd regret the bigger machine since it's not that much bigger or that much more $$. Try looking and driving a few more and I'm sure the machine you want will just feel right.

This is the 1st I've heard about a model change from Deere - I'm interested to see what they come up with. It seems like the new Blue's are generally well liked for the improved visibility - I'm going to have to try it one of these days and see what the buzz is about.

Good Luck.

DEERE SALESMAN SAID NEW FRONT DESIGN WITH SOME ADDED FEATURES AND THE CURVED ARM DESIGNED LOADER WAS A RESPONSE MOVE TO NH. HE WAS AT A SALES MTG. YESTERDAY. HE HAD A PICTURE BUT IT ONLY SHOWED THE FRONT THIRD OF THE TRACTOR. THAT'S ALL DEERE SHOWED THEM. IT LOOKED REALLY GOOD.

WELCOME TO THE FORUM! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif and don't think i classify as a tractro gurru, but will put my $0.02 worth. if u think u want to waite to see the new jd's then waite, seems like u got a few tractors to hold u over /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif remember now that if the dealer told u they will e out at the end of june u can rest assured they will be later than that, and how long it will take him to get the new model u want might be a bit longer, guess it all comes down to your personal needs.

Dude, lose the CAP'S. The price stated for the NH seems very high. Here in upstate NY you could buy that NH you stated, have it shipped, go to dinner, buy your wife a cheap dress, have a decent bottle of wine to put you to sleep and then buy a King Kutter back blade and still come out below the Deere. I guess it's all a matter of geography, which I'm slolwy learning reading this site.

I'm in N.C. but about 4 hrs. from a lrg. volume NH dealer. There I could go from a TC29DA to a TC35DA for the same price but service could be an issue. I asked my local dealer about servicing a tractor bought at another dealer since they could or would not match prices. He said they would per franchise agreement with NH but my tractor would not be a priority. I guess I can understand that but I still will not pay more than is warranted

)</font> If you buy from Corriher and need service at your local dealer and your tractor is not a priority, you can also write to NH with a nice complaint about the service your recieve from that dealer. NH won't be happy. Another thing, you probably won't need any service on that tractor for a very long time unless you just get "one of those." Good luck, John

KiotiJohn the dealer actually mentioned the dealer you referred to as he was pricing my tractor. Said a lot of NH dealers were not too happy with "the boys from Newton" or from Lenoir for that matter. I actually had a price quote in my back pocket that he might have seen but it did not reveal prices or dealer. It was actually from a JD dealer. He said what he did when I told him I thought he way too high on his price. I did not appreciate him putting down another dealer because of his unwillingness to at least negotiate price. An integrity issue for me. Now I might just give "them boys" a call after all. Any dealer willing to fill the country with BLUE because of price is my kind of dealer.
