Security & Theft tractor has been stolen but found the next day fishy craigslist ad

I wonder if it's not some type of scam to get the reward money out of somebody??

Criminal minds are brilliant at coming up with stuff like that.

I almost bought a used L48TLB from this fellow a couple of years ago. He lives in the Bend, Oregon area and buys and sells used Kubota tractors. I am not sure what to make of the Craigslist ads, but I believe that he is a legitimate businessman. If you go to the Bend, Oregon Craigslist and search for Kubota Tractors, you will see several tractors that Steve has for sale. If you are looking for a used Kubota, I would not hesitate to deal with Steve. I decided that the L48TLB that he had for sale was more machine that I really needed. Have a good day.

I decided to give Steve a call and see what happened concerning the tractor in question. Steve had two of the M6040 tractors for sale. One tractor was on a lot in Canby, Oregon and the other one is located in Sisters, Oregon. The only difference between the two tractors is that one had R1 tires and the other one had R4 tires and one had 290 hours and one had 310 hours. He did not have a picture of the one in Canby so the post shows a picture of the tractor that is in Sisters. The Sheriff in the Canby, Oregon area has all of the information regarding the stolen tractor. He said that they followed the tracks quite some distance through a field and the tractor was loaded onto a trailer and hauled away. He is going to repost the ad on Craigslist in order to eliminate any more confusion. As I said in my previous post, I would not hesitate to deal with Steve. Have a good day.

That's actually pretty smart to post a picture of the other tractor. I don't know if I would have thought of that.

Did you tell him that there are 70K TBN members and we are all very interested to see how this turns out?

As a matter of fact while I was on the phone with him I directed him to the TractorByNet website and told him he might want to consider joining. He asked me if I would post the clarification concerning the tractor which I did.

I read the add about the stolen tractor and it states that it has R1 tires, not the R4s in the picture. I read that about 3 minutes ago. I am curious to see how this story unfolds. I wish i could find the crook, thats enough reward money for another implement.
