Tractor hauling/delivery charges

Would some of you guys who bought your tractors from remote dealers mind telling me how much it cost you to have it delivered and how far they had to ship it? Thanks!

Mine was about 150 miles. The delivery was part of the package. The dealer was willing to truck the tractor here and let me try it. He would have taken it back if I didn't like it. Guess it depends on how much a dealer wants to sell something.

Mark, the dealership I bought my tractor at was 2.5 to 3 hours away but delivered for free. Initially he stated they charged $50/hr based on round trip hours. A few months back I called about renting a skidder and the trucking charge to deliver was $80/hr. A neighbor down the road had a JD 2350 trucked in from about 100 miles away at a cost of $135. I'm located in NY.

B2710/LA401, ~600 miles to NY from NC at a cost of $400. Exactly 1/3 of the applicable tax that "would have" been paid! Don't tell anyone though!/w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif

Hey, Mark,

My dealer located my new tractor in Michigan, moved it almost 800 mi, on a moving van backhaul thru Lawrence Transfer in Roanoke, VA. They just happened to have a truck in MI on its way back. It cost $750 I think,and New Holland paid for all but 200, dealer did the rest. With all the military moving to & from your area, backhauling might just work.

Otherwise, do some calling to guys with trucks to find out who needs work.
