Could you post up the actual model you're looking at? Could probably give better feedback.
Off the cuff I'd say your okay, just make sure you stay well within the recommended material size for the chipper and don't stuff it. Might even be beneficial because if you break something it's far more likely to be the chipper than the tractor
It's a simple matter. If you overload the chipper - the shear bolt will shear. I've had this happen on my tractor a couple times. Just shut everything down - replace the shear bolt.
I run a Wallenstein BX62S on my Kubota M6040. It's a perfect match. The chipper will handle up to 6" material. A 6" pine that is 24 feet long is all I can handle also.
Heck I bought a Jinma Chinese 6" chipper used and ran it on the back of one of my M9's (86 pto ponies) with no issue for years. I did add a Weasler (TSC) adjustable slip clutch just to make sure I didn't destroy anything (match set of belts are expensive.) It was rated at 30 pto and I was driving it at at least 2 times the required power, almost 3 times. Kept it greased and knives sharp. Sold it 4 years after I bought it used for 200 bucks more than I paid for it originally. I prefer roasting limbs over shipping them. You can only put so many chips in flower beds.
I will say that it would handle a 6" diameter limb no issue, had plenty of suds driving it.
There is even a certain advantage to a larger chipper. With a larger chipper comes a larger fly wheel. More stored energy - smoother chipping. In my case - it's not necessary. I don't think that there is much that is easier to chip than freshly cut green pine trees. Or, maybe, something in the birch, alder, quaken asp family. I have chipped a few 4" x 32' birch trees. Just like chipping a long cube of butter.

I am in the process of buying a PTO chipper shredder. My PTO HP is about 45.6 as I recall. A used one I am looking at is rated at 35 HP max. I talked to a manufacturer rep about the difference. He said if kept at 540 rpm there should be no problem. They put the 35 max in there out of concern of people with higher HP over revving the PTO rpm. This was a quality US built machine. May not be the same with foreign knock offs.
