Several years ago I built a wood splitter using a cylinder off of a old disk and powering it with my IH 300 and Super M tractors. The set up I have works great for me with one exception, it takes one person to hold the wood on the beam and another person to sit on the tractor and control the hydraulics. Does anyone know if it is possible to add a valve to the cylinder to be able to control the movement of the cylinder from the ground rather than the tractor lever? I am unsure of the hydraulic make up of these old tractor and am not sure if would work or not.
