How does one find "tractor shows" or "exhibitions"

I'm not actually looking for anything in particular as I have pretty much everything I need but I would like to go to some shows/exhibitions etc just to see if there is anything out there that I need but just dont yet know I neeed.

Besides it could be a fun way to spend a day looking at iron.

I've seen some stuff at stock shows etc, but are there some other shows that would be interesting. Preferable not to far from west texas.... Lubbock ? Midland ?

Where else can i expect to find tractor stuff even if it is a side effect of the main event. Regional fairs ?

TSC sells a tractor calander that has a show listing in the back... mostly antique stuff.

You can also find them on the net.

Check your local farm bureau for ag expo's, and farm equipment demo's

The Maine Agriculture Trades Show is Tuesday thru Thursday of this week in Augusta. Looks like most of the colors will be represented. Link

Most of the equipment manufacturers have what shows they will be attending on their web sites.
There is a show in Harrisburg PA right now.

There is a show coming up in Waco mid February. I have misplaced the Country World newspaper where it was advertised. I will look for it carefully and post the dates. I may have to wait for next weeks edition to find out.

Hi Tom,

I just do some searches on the web. Here is one for 2005 Ag Expo's but is by no means anywhere near what is really happening as far as shows go around the country.

This is a nice calendar however.

Perhaps the easiest way to find what you're looking for is click the brand of equipment you're shopping for and then click the "events" or news tab on the website.
For example, this one for Vermeer:

This website searches the trade show or expo world by industry. If you want to shop Thailand for computer shows, or the Ukraine for lawn mowers, it will help.

My memory was bad. The show is January 18-19 at the Waco Convention Center. It is the Mid-Tex Farm and Ranch Show. If you think that you might go I can post the details.

The mother of all farm shows is coming up next month in Louisville Kentucky.

National Farm Machinery Show

All you New Yorkers, which there seems to be a lot on TBN, and anybody else who don't mind traveling, if you want to take a break from winter or are looking to buy a tractor, the NY Farm Show is the place to be. Last year I went to my first winter NY farm show and that is where I started my tractor search, There was the big 5 tractor manufactures, plus most of the "other" tractor manufacters discussed on this site, including Chinese tractors.
Although I did not buy a Tractor at the show, It did get me off
to a good start, eventually I did purchase a Mahindra later in the year (Saw the 4110 at the show )
Steel bldgs are on my priority list this year, got a good price last year at the show but did not buy, But my neighbor did buy a ATV for $1200 less than the local dealer. Plus, there is everything else Agriculture, including wine made in the Finger Lake's Region of NY ( I did buy that! ). It is Worth a trip for the neighboring states-but especially if you live in NY.

This is a free show (and local to me) and I knew it was big, but this list of list of exhibitors at National Farm Machinery Show is 54 pages long! A lot of them I've never heard of, and a bunch more with stuff I want to see. Hope some of you TBN folks can get there too.

The Ft. Worth Stock Show and Rodeo starts Jan 14, 05 and runs through Feb 6, 05 at the Will Rogers Memorial Center, Ft. Worth, Texas. Lots of tractors and related equipment to see.

I hadn't really thought about it being time to come up..

I've been before a few times and enjoyed it....

The KY show sounds interesting also.... Maybe further than I want to go but it could happen...

Anyone else in the west texas area wanna split the aircraft expenses and I'll fly us out there....
