Have State Farm here, spoke to my agent specifically about coverage when I bought the New Holland. A regular State Farm homeowners policy will cover the tractor and attachments up to the limits of the policy, less the deductible, IF -and he emphasized this- it is on my property. Take it off property, no coverage. There is a separate policy available for off-site coverage.

Ditto here.

I have state farm homeowners.

Coverage A is dwelling. Insured to $158k

When I built my pole barn, I specifically asked about covering it. They said their plan covers addition structures under Coverage B - Dwelling extensions automatically at 10% house value. So $15.8k. She asked if I needed additional on the barn. I did not, so It was already covered.

Coverage B is personal property. $118k. Covers anything on my property. Theft, fire, acts of nature, etc. I questioned if this would cover my tractor, BH, etc. Yep, it sure does. So Im good there. And they cover replacement cost, not what they deem is fair market value. ~$680 per year for all.

Sounds like the OP needs a new insurance company

I agree with LD1. I have State Farm as well and what you spelled out is the way my agent described my coverage. One unique point about my situation, my pole barn, Kubota, Ranger, etc. are on a separate property from my house. It is still covered under my homeowner's policy.

So I have 'Tractor Insurance' now...thanks to recommendations here I went with KTAC (Kubota) to insure my Kioti and various other brand implements. They enacted a policy over the phone, quite convenient and all questions answered.
As you can see from my previous posts I have Allstate for all of my other properties and possessions. I thought about calling them back after a lame referral to some high priced company with a ton of exclusions. I think Allstate could write a policy if they wanted but after talking to KTAC I'm sure it would be nowhere as thorough. KTAC allows off property use, full replacement value- which YOU choose the amount and premium is based off of, they will trailer it to said dealer in the event of a damage/ loss claim. All in all I felt it was set up for covering what I'd expect as a customer.

My policy with Deere came in the mail today. The policy is a full Inland Marine policy and covers replacement up to appraised value. At least in NY anyway.

Not bad for $40/year.

What's full replacement value of your rig if you don't mind me asking? Mine's $22k, and my policy costs me $101/yr.

My Fireman's Fund agent said any mower I use on my property is covered under my Homeowners...

Told them it was a very expensive Diesel mower and they said no problem as long as less than 25hp.

Did this when I bought the BX23 new.

The key, in my understanding, is the word mower exclusively used on my property and with no business use.

Its around $17k. Basically around what it cost new from the dealer.

Well I called KTAC and spoke with a Debbie and she said she could not insure my Kioti that I am purchasing, since I had never had a Kubota insured with them, I did not purchase the tractor from a Kubota dealer, or I did not have a Kubota currently insured with them. Any suggestions from those who have coverage on a non-Kubota brand that are insured by KTAC, because I am getting no where by calling them.

I have KTAC but my previous tractor was a Kubota. But I didn't know that made any difference. I don't know why it should, but I guess it does.

I too have KTAC. I was a bit disappointed when my renewal came last week, my premiums jumped 30%!! From $276 to $359! Never had a claim either.

I spoke with Charlotte, customer service rep, and she said the bean counters insisted on an increase since it had been 2-3 years since they had raised their rates.

With all of the other insurance we have I AM INSURANCE POOR!!
