Texas law is Texas law.Going to court on potential criminal charges (depending upon your state) is not worth it. I have carried concealed carry insurance in case I have to defend myself.
But if someone is driving off with my tractor and they won't stop with the threat of a gun I'll just phone the sheriff and have them chase them down.
Regarding the politics in various political jurisdictions, as long you aren't in the big city, finding 12 people to "unanimously vote to" convict is going to be very hard if it gets that far.
While I respect law enforcement, family experience with AG theft was a total waste of time.
