I paid my off in 2004. A very good feeling getting it done. And, its not a like a car thats worn out by the time you get it paid off.

So, now that you guys have paid off your tractors, do you know what the next will be or are you still looking?

Yep. Wishing to go from Kubotas B to the new M series. Hoping to keep the B for general housekeeping, and keeping people off the M when it shows.....

I'd like to hold right where I'm at. I like not having the debt load.
That being said, if there were a good used Power-Trac locally...

I'm in no hurry to pay it off cause the sooner I do the sooner I stop making money on kubotas money?

With a 0% interest loan it is actually somewhat foolish to pay it off early. You could instead put that money in a money making investment. Now a car loan at 15%, I would rather pay that off since it is hard to beat the guaranteed 15% return on ridding myself of that debt.

There is such a thing as good debt.

In 1967 when I bought my first car, I had a 2 year loan and when I paid it off I just kept paying the monthly payment to "me". I put it in the bank and every car I bought since I calculate the monthly payment and use the amount paid to "me" as a down payment or in some cases pay for the thing outright. Then just keep paying "me" each month. Have kept my last truck since 1997 and used the "me" fund to buy the new tractor last year.

I sold a vacant property and earned just enough from the sale to pay off my 4210 and the capital gains tax...had it not been for the tax I probably would have used the extra money to go buy a bigger JD with a backhoe. I currently have under 350 hours on the tractor and think about buying a new one but do I need it? No. Want one? YES /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

But being retired and on a fixed income, I can't justify making the payments so I will keep mine.

Yeah...I know what you mean.I looked into a
3320 with Power Reverser. I really wanted the machine for the reverser tranny.

But, my 790 has just 100 hours on it. It'll be paid off in another 18 months or so...and I just didn't want the debt.
Anyway, that 790 does everything I want it to do!
