Finished up my shooting bench then did some hunting and helped my daughter move. It's been too cold to do much otherwise, although I did build a tool that will hold the weight either via my shop lift or a floor jack. Haven't tried it out yet; I'm waiting for the temps to get above 40 and the winds to die down some. Might be today since it's supposed to get 50 or so today.

Thanks,

When I put on my wheel weights I took the wheel off the tractor, laid it flat on the ground the used my friends tractor to lower the weights on. Then we used his tractor to lift the tire up. We rolled it into place and used a grain shovel under the tire to wiggle it on the studs.

No a bad job at all.

And one of the disadvantages of this design using concrete is that it will have to be taken off to take the wheel off since it covers the tire/wheel studs, so this won't work. Since the only time I've needed to remove the tires/wheels was when I had the rears moved all the way out, I don't see much of a problem with it.

The other downside to taking the wheels off is, of course, the weight of the tire/wheel/liquid ballast. Since my rear tires have about 55 gallons in each of them (per the Messick's chart), they weigh somewhere north of 455 lbs and probably over 600 lbs. The thought of having to move +600 lbs tire/wheel/liquid ballast is pretty daunting.

Thanks,

Thanks,

Didn't realize they covered the lugs. My tires were filled also. Not a bad job for 2 guys to move.
