Tractor lots are full

Anyone else notice how tractor dealers lots are now loaded, I drive by 2 JD dealers 2 bobcat dealers and one Kubota dealer all the time and They are full , in fact the kubota and one JD dealer has at least 40 tractors WEonder if they are still selling.

I'm sure it will eventually slow down, interest rates are crawling up and market might be saturated eventually, we know the economy is slowing down drastically. And companies are starting to fire instead of hire it seems?

Local JD and Kubota lots are brimming. This is in west Tennessee

Lots of low hours tractors popping up for sale too.

I'm guessing they went through a long period where they had more potential sales than stock they coud get. They ordered to get stock hoping that the sales demand would continue.

It is always a guessing game. Some of them may get caught holding inventory. It is like being upside down on a car or a house when you Have to sell. Lowering prices will make them take a loss, but so will carrying inventory.

Same here, Both JD and the LS / Yanmar dealer are overflowing.

Starting to look similar to new car and truck dealer inventories.

A lot of the small banks are reducing lending now as well.

Tax time brings out 2 types of consumers.
#1 is panicked at how much he has to pay Uncle Sam this week.
#2 can't spend his refund fast enough on a new toy.

Taxes are going to hurt most folks more this year. The government tax breaks and credits during the pandemic are over... Reality will strike some hard

Dealers couldn't get equipment fast enough to meet demand when interest rates were so low that it made sense to buy now before prices escalated further.

I am also seeing more used tractors for sale in my area of middle Tennessee and more home inventory, but asking prices are still elevated compared to pre-2020 norms.

The local LS dealer (Northern Idaho) has more inventory than I have seen in the past couple years. Seems like sales may be slowing down

I know my local Kubota dealer told me that he has to order the whole years worth of inventory,so his lot is full in the spring.

I reported in another thread several weeks ago that the Local JD dealership, Ag Power in Van Alstyne TX, Had a lot full of tractors of all sizes and lots of implements as well. The Kubota dealer not far from them in their new location was also starting to fill up.

Starting to see the same locally ourselves. between the 3 local dealerships they have more tractors than the area normally consumes.

I sold 2 of mine last yr and would love a new 60hp rig but at these prices it aint gonna happen

If you've waited this long to file, it's a good bet you're not getting a refund.
