Todays progress pic shows the v-plow hooked to the Cat tractor Frame for the first time . I ground most of the welds and filled them with body filler. Also the wing now has more bracing . The v-plow is 48in. wide and the wing plow is 30 in. wide.
/ Tractor no. 15 !! It will be Cat yellow and have TRACKS !
A couple months ago I bought this jd 110 round fender . Although I tore it apart and repainted it I have nver driven it or started it . The fellow started it the day I bought it and we pushed it up on the trailer. Today I fired it up for the first time and it started right up. I'll have to try driving it:laughing:
I think I got way too many projects and once a week I am calling on another one
Going to look at another one this afternoon :confused2:

The half track project was cancelled . This will now be just a four tire project.
I don't want to spend the time building a half track. Instead I want to build a full track version .
I bought a 22 hp zero turn JD Z-425 for the pumps and engine but now I see it is too nice to cut it up.
So now I am still looking for another zero turn with a nice 20+ hp twin engine with a junk mower deck to cut up.
Todays project shows the wing plow attached for the first time.
By Sat. night I should have the lift linkage designed and the wing sanded and painted.
Then Mon. I will build a weight box on the rear. Then I will design some quik-tach fold
in half tire chains for it

Nice work, Waldon52...I don't see why you put that body filler on there,
it won't last long if you plan on using this machine, but it does look pretty.

I don't really plan on using this machine. It is mostly a butt buggy for tractor shows for a conversation piece. I may try it once or twice in light powdery snow but then just park it and never use it again. My fun is the tweaking to get a slightly different look from these junkers that were heading to the scrapyard. My jd 455 diesel with the 47in. snowblower and my mini wheel loader are what I use for snow . Sometimes I use my truck plow too. The other 15 machines are just pretty much toys.
Todays picture shows the complex controls for the wing plow . I got the welds ground and filled .
Tomorrow I will sand and paint the wing and then get going on the weight box.
