I would love to set up my own personal fab and machine shop. Still looking for that pot of gold though.

I am training a young man at work how to machine stuff and he was blown away that a 15/16" cobalt taper length drill cost $85 dollars.

No cab for the 758 this winter, I don't want to cover up that cool looking shiney John Deere
8 inches of new snow in the forecast for tonight so I may get to try out the new JD afterall.
I cut out the metal for the cab roof yesterday and go it all welded on .

Handbuilt tractor cab progress today shows it sanded and painted. Tomorrow I should get the Lexan for the windows. Today I will work on the 4 overhead light mounts . I been pricing used cabs and they are rare and expensive. So next I will build a cab for my jd 455 aws tractor , then maybe a cab for the RanchCat Tractor . People in our area like cabs for winter use so these cabs will help sell the tractors the day I decide to sell them.

Todays handbuilt cab project shows the lexan windows cut out and also shows the overhead lights mounted. Slowly taking shape. Far from perfect but another fun project.

The next progress pics today now show the curved Lexan windows installed in the doors. I just have to close in the area around the brake pedals next and then build the center folding window so the hood can be raised and lowered
