Thanks for the Messicks feedback. My dealer is about 30 miles away, so I rarely use them(the gas and time aren't worth the difference). I had thought dealer prices were uniform.

I'll do a cross-check. If you get your filters, et.al. from you local dealer, can you price compare for us? Messicks vs local.

When they quoted a seal for my flail, I thought it was high. I should have cross-checked, and I haven''t purchased it yet.

I went to Central New Holland with part in hand. Found out I had been quoted the wrong part. Their price was $68 and change vs. Messick's 73.80 (plus over $12 for shipping). Filters, however, looks like a different story. Here are the prices of filters I bought last July at the dealer vs Messick's online prices:

Hydraulic filter (part# 47408372): Dealer 79.30 Messick's 62.53
Hydrostatic filter (pt# 47671640): Dealer 33.60 Messick's 25.44
Inner air filter (pt# 84539215): Dealer 30.80 Messick's 23.32
Outer air filter (pt# 87682998): Dealer 42.00 Messick's 31.05

Central New Holland's prices look to be 25% to 35% higher than Messick's --- on these filters, anyway. There are two dealers here in Oklahoma City, each 30 minutes from me. Not at all convenient.

I would look at the switch and see what it actually is. If it is a simple microswitch it is likely worth $3 or $4 at either Digikey or Mouser. If it is something special that is a different matter. But I would take it out and look at the ratings and perhaps even get an OEM part number and see what I could do with it. Remember New Holland sure as He77 didn't make that switch. Nor did Shibaura the original manufacture of your tractor. They got is somewhere in the Orient. It likely isn't worth much.

Of course that is the kind of guy I am. Boil it down to the generic "what is it and what are its ratings" kind of guy. Of course I have 50 years of experience doing that kind of thing.

Messicks is a bit ridiculous on shipping costs. 8 and 10 dollar range for very small things like o-rings or seals that could be sent in an envelope.
