Really?

You've got nothing better to post?!!☹️
how lame...!
LoL...and you have nothing better to comment on ?

All you have to do is read the list of new posts a couple times a day to see what I was referring to...it's not like it's not topical...

Oh wait...now I see...a couple of "off brand" owners...too funny...!

I love my New Holland, Shibuara built tractor from the mid-2000's. Easy to operate, comfortable and keeps on ticking. I really wish New Holland was still making them like that. I have been on other tractors from that same era and still like the New Holland better. Probably because I am used to it. Back then, New Hollands were selling like hotcakes.

New Holland would probably be considered off brand today, but I am definitely a fan boy of the earlier New Hollands. My dream tractor would be a low hour New Holland TC55. Maybe one day. Also, like the blue color.
When I was looking about 5 years ago I was really interested in the 1700 series Fords... older versions of the NH you are referring to.
I couldn't justify paying the asking price though. It was nearly what I paid for my 2 year old Kubota.
I would still like to have one though, maybe when I'm putting less hours on I can "upgrade" to an older machine.

IMO...The biggest fear the lessor brand owners face is consolidation and their brand getting bought out by a bigger fish...

It's inevitable and sooner or later it happens in every industry...unfortunately it is the economy that sometimes forces the scenario...

When it happens there are two basic ways it can go...the bigger fish simply removes the lessor brand from the market and sells off all the assets they can't convert...this can leave owners in a lurch...
...or the acquiring co. can inventory existing parts stock and offer support for however long...neither scenario is ideal...
What kind of tractor do you have? I looked at you posts and could not find where you have mentioned your own tractor. Just curious.

Once you get past JD or Kubota, a lot depends on who has dealers nearby. Lot of Kioti's around me, but that's the closest dealer by a long shot, next closest is JD. There used to be a NH, but they're not there anymore. Don't know anyone who has a Mahindra, not sure where the nearest dealer is.
I do like my off-brand Kioti tractor. The orange paint seems brighter and doesn't seem to fade as quickly as the other orange tractor.

This thread was never about comparing brands..it was about enthusiasm and market shares...
You don't see too many threads with titles like:
'Show Us a Picture of Your John Deere' or 'What Did Your Kubota Do Today?' etc., etc...

'Off brand' owner here, though that label only extends so far. Kioti recently took the #3 spot in the U.S. (maybe North American) compact tractor market, and they're ubiquitous on a local scale. They've maintained a fairly solid presence in my area for over two decades now, and having their warranty easily accessed and laid out on their website really spoke to me. I also quite liked Branson, and may have favored them over Kioti had it not been for my opinion of the local TYM dealer; you'd mentioned brands being swallowed up, that was a sad one to see.

I'm a big fan of Mama Deere's premium products; comfort and ergonomics are something Deere really knows, but they also know what to charge for it. I'm also not a fan of their dealer consolidation, and their dug-in heels regarding right-to-repair. I got around that by buying used prior to, but it also comes to be that Deere doesn't offer a 3025R, and buying used doesn't fix that.

I have high praise for Kubota, they build solid machines that are damn near idiot proof. They also use a treadle pedal on their hydrostatics, and for that they're inherently wrong.

Really, I just quite like tractors, but I'm certainly going to root for my home team. 😂

I don't think Kubota or John Deere are going to buy up competitors because that would tend to undermine the branding message that they already offer a complete lineup of equipment. If either wanted to expand their dealer network, they can expand by adding new dealers without trying to acquire other brands and folding dealers from other brands into their network.

Whether other competitors are able to stay in the market in part depends on their ability to offer reliable tractors and maintain key parts availability. That means their internal management has to be good. They also have to weather economic ups and downs. A steady source of financing options for customers is also important.

If their customers are positive on their machines, that helps to build their brands and keep them going more so than if their customers start complaining that the quality of their machines or parts availability is lacking. This is particularly true today where reputations seem to be made or broken based on what is posted on the internet.

Not trying to kick a hornets nest...but it seems that owners of off brand tractors (anything other than the top three) seem more enthusiastic about their machines or are they just looking for moral support ??
I don’t think it’s either of those things. I think that with a so called off brand tractor, you want to look for a place with other owners of the same brand to discuss repairs, operation, etc. There aren’t exactly a lot of other places to do that. So….

TBN is the place!
