Glad you're up. For others in a similar situation, here's another vote for letting a dealer or other pro help:
My transmission failed. Something stripped or broke or whatever, but it wouldn't go forward or backward. Mechanically that's beyond me so I called the dealer, who trailered it to the shop.
Once it was there, they discovered that the high/low range shifter was in between its two positions, thus in neutral. Everything was fine when they shifted it into high or low. So they called and told me, and said they'd still have to charge me $100 for bringing it in and dropping it off again.
I asked them how much more they'd charge to not tell anybody. They said they'd do that for free.
