Tractor rolls back.. Is it possessed?

Anytime I that I must get off the tractor with it running, like when I have to warm up the hyrdaulics in the winter, I always set the parking break and then step on the forward and reverse pedals until I know it won't move. My feet are so big that I almost always hit the pedals when getting in or out of it....

And that's another thing... most folks say they get OFF or ON a tractor, but we PT owners get IN and OUT of ours... kind of like fighter pilots!!! :)

On the 1850, it has become second nature to hit the brake when getting off if the engine is running. If the engine is off, the brakes come on automatically.

You definitely want to be careful with hydraulics under pressure. A local farmer got a leak in a hose. He was in the field and wanted to finish the work he was doing so he tied it a rag over the leak. He then held the rag down with his hand while he turned on the pressure. It injected a huge amount of hydraulic fluid into his arm which swelled way up. Fortunately, none got injected into his arteries or veins or he would be dead. He was in the hospital for 6 weeks extremely sick with drains inserted into his muscles to let the fluid weep out.

Say, i kinda like that fighter pilot idea. Zooming in and around things. :D I also like the idea of setting the brake before getting off. I usually do that because there are so few level areas around here that if i didn't the pt would roll away:confused:
