i was looking for a new tractor seat and found one.
its very cheap and comfortable.the price of the tractor seat is only...?.

My last tractor had a fixed seat and wore me out in the 5 years that I owned it. My TC-40D uses spring suspension under the seat that is adjustable for the weight of the operator. The seat moves when you hit a bump but doesn't bottom out. The seat makes using the tractor a real joy. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Is it an air ride seat? My new replaced seat with the iron seat on my MH is the one attached. If I were able to find a cheap air ride, I'd buy one - but have been unable to find a cheap air ride.

Nomad I don't think the seats that use springs for suspension are considered air ride. I believe the ones that you are referring to actually have a small air bag placed under the seat to absorb the bumps as the seat moves. Same principle but a bit more complex.

I know Mike. But, (to my knowledge), some air ride seats have an extra spring suspension. Or, I am wrong? Although rarely happens, I too maybe - That spring in spring suspension is mainly to balance the weight of driver while air bag in the air ride seats is to damp the vibrations.

Pikels, I didn't understand. You said in your first post you bought one seat, but, later, you posted 2 different seat pictures; one with a rest for arms and one without that. Did you buy one seat or two seats? By the way, it seems that your seat is similar to this one (see attachment) with a design change in artificial leather only. Finally, I think in your first post you had said you had paid $35 for that seat before editing. Or, was it $25? If so, let me know where you bought. That's a steal!

Kubota made a big deal about how comfortable their seats were on the Grand L series tractors. That is about my only complaint about the tractor!
Not that it is uncomfortable, but the Kubota seat is nothing to write home about. I also did not like the staples in the seat. They came pre-rusted from the factory. I immediately told the dealer and Kubota, but got no response from either.
The next year they redesigned the seat(with no staples).
I am no great fan of Kubota seats.

I put a good comfortable Bass Boat seat on my old IH. I just cut out a piece of steel plate to bolt to the old slide and the bottom of the seat. People say it looks a bit strange but is is sure more comfortable on my poor old butt and back., so I don't care what they think. Oh I got a red one to match the tractor /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif The fanny flag mounts on the back of it really nice.
It was about 50.00 and more comfortable than any tractor seat I have sat upon.

The best tractor seat I used was the iron seat with a hand made wool pillow on it. It was healthier. also was replacable easily when it got dirty.
